The Office of the Secretariat, led by Chief Secretary Professor Tsu-Shing Wang, Ph.D. is supported by a team of secretaries who manage the university’s official documents and assist the President and Vice President with administrative responsibilities. The Secretariat is entrusted with the following key duties: The Chief Secretary oversees and coordinates the operations of various offices, including General Affairs, Personnel, Accounting, Public Affairs, the University History Office, the Office of Legal Affairs, the University Press, and the Secretariat itself.
Duties of The Office of the Secretariat
- Executive Support
- Handling tasks assigned by the President and Vice President.
- Managing emergency notifications and confidential documents from the Ministry of Education.
- Meeting Coordination
- Organizing and preparing for university affairs meetings, administrative meetings, and committees (e.g., Strategic Development, Fundraising Fund Management, Internal Control, Gender Equality Education).
- Drafting meeting minutes and related documentation.
- University Planning and Evaluation
- Planning and managing mid- to long-term development plans.
- Planning and managing the Ministry of Education's Incentive Program for Private University Development Plans.
- Administrative Management
- Core Information Management and Review of the University Website.
- Conducting administrative service satisfaction surveys and responding to public inquiries.
- Supervising data reporting for various Ministry of Education platforms and statistical reports.
- Specialized Tasks
- Serving as the contact point for personal data security incidents.
- Supporting epidemic prevention efforts and maintaining the internal control manual and risk assessments.
- Organizing the Administrative Leadership Consensus Workshop.
- Gender Equality Affairs
- Assist with gender-related incidents on campus, including case investigations, budget management, research awards, and educational promotion.
